Welcome to the Intuitive Robots Lab
The Intuitive Robots Lab (IRL) at the Institute for Anthropomatics and Robotics researches and develops novel machine learning methods to improve Human-Robot Interaction resulting in a new generation of Intuitive Robots. Intuitive Robots will closely interact with humans outside of strictly controlled laboratory or factory environments and without expert supervision. They must be able to safely interact with humans, learn new skills from humans and communicate with humans in an intuitive manner.
Our research focuses on the intersection of machine learning, robotics and human-robot interaction. Our main research fields are:
- Learning from Human Demonstrations
- Interactive Learning
- Explainable AI (XAI)
- Extended-Reality (XR) Human-Robot Interaction
The IRL is headed by TT-Prof. Rudolf Lioutikov and is part of KIT since December 2022.
The Intuitive Robot Lab starts at KIT in December 2022!
